Our 83 acre farm located in Blue Ridge, Virginia offers fun for the entire family. Come navigate your way through our 10 acre corn maize, pick the perfect pumpkin, and enjoy the many activities. While exploring all of the fun the farm has to offer, don’t forget to meet our furry friends. If you work up an appetite, we offer full concessions along with the fantastic Fry Shack! 2023 Fall Festival Hours of Operation

the 2023 season will be September 16th through November 4th

Saturdays: 10am-6pm

Sundays: 11am-6pm

October

Saturdays: 10am-6pm

Sundays: 11am-6pm

Wednesdays 4:00pm-8:30pm

 

November 4th:

10am-5pm

The last admission is 1 hour prior to closing.


ON WEDNESDAYS IN OCTOBER THERE IS NO FRY SHACK, LIMITED ACTIVITIES, AND LIMITED CONCESSIONS. ALL ACTIVITES CLOSE AT DUSK EXCEPT THE MAZE. YOU MUST HAVE A FLASHLIGHT FOR THE MAZE.

 2023 Fall Festival Admission & Prices

  • $20 per person wristband includes all activities on farm.

  • Ages 2 and under is free

Pumpkins and Gemstone mining are available at additional cost.

Wednesday Nights $15 per person

Season Pass for the 2023 season!

Enjoy UNLIMITED weekend admission to the farm festival for the 2022 season for just one price! Includes admission to the farm and farm activities. Season Pass holders will receive a wristband each visit.
 $45 per person

 

Layman Family Farms is pet friendly, please be mindful of other guests by keeping your pet on a leash at all times and picking up after them.


 

Directions

From Roanoke:
Take Rt 460 East toward Bedford about 15 miles. Turn RIGHT at Mountain View Church Road. The farm will be 0.7 miles on right.

From Bedford and Lynchburg:
Take Rt. 460 West toward Roanoke. Arriving in Montvale, turn LEFT on Mountain View Church Road. Proceed 0.7 miles and Layman Family Farm will be on the RIGHT.

From Lexington, Staunton, and Harrisonburg:
Take I-81 South to Exit 150A. Head SOUTH on Alt. Rt. 220. to US Rt. 460. Head EAST for 9 miles to Montvale. Turn RIGHT on Mountain View Church Road and proceed 0.7 miles and Layman Family Farm will be on the RIGHT.

From Lewisburg, White Sulphur Springs, Covington, and Clifton Forge:
Take I-64 East to Rt. 220 South heading toward Fincastle/Roanoke. Continue under I-81. Head SOUTH on Alt. Rt. 220 to US Rt. 460. Head EAST for 9 miles to Montvale. Turn RIGHT on Mountain View Church Road and proceed 0.7 miles and Layman Family Farm will be on the RIGHT.

Wagon rides become tradition of autumn festivities and in celebration of this custom we boast one of the largest hay wagons in the state! These John Deere pulled wagons will take you on a scenic ride into the heart of the farm to where all of the pumpkins are grown. Don't forget your camera!

See how far an ear of corn or pumpkin can fly! With the cannon and blaster we can send them whizzing across the farm yard using a pressurized air machine toward targets placed out in a 2 acre field.

Slide down the Beale Mine Shaft! Take a plunge down the Beale Mine Shaft to find the lost treasure. Sit on a potato sack and slide down the 40-foot tube to the safety below. It's a wonderful ride appropriate for all ages.

Is a pumpkin included?

Pumpkins are not included with general admission. Pumpkins are for sale for:

.49 cents per pound, .59 cents per pound for specialty pumpkins, and pie pumpkins are $2.50 each.
